About Jerry
Jerry is a Washington, DC-based photographer capturing weddings, corporate and non-profit events, families, and couples. When not capturing photos for clients, Jerry manages government projects, spends time with his family and newborn daughter, support non-profits, and goes on wildlife photography adventures.
My inspiration for photography is the curated photo albums of my childhood spent in Paris. These memories are retained in the photo albums in our house. Through some friendly encouragement, I picked up a camera to capture thoughtful and purposeful memories. Photos that are shared, remembered, and passed down.

Preparing for contingencies
Photographing people and events require me to be flexible and adaptable. I can quickly adapt to changing requirements, timelines, and potential weather-related impacts. Photos are backed up to the cloud, computer, and external drive. For the venues that require a $1M certificate of liability insurance, I can provide upon request.

No details left behind
Every detail is arranged and captured with intention. For events, I always capture room details, setups, and signs. For weddings, I also bring a set of high-quality toile linen, suede, and linen styling mats. Velvet ring boxes, vintage style bowls, and antique trinkets bring additional texture to the wedding flat lay.
Blending in the background
My approach to photography is to blend in like a guest. I blend in the background quietly and capture intimate details from a distance with a 200-600 mm zoom lens. As a wildlife photographer, I can capture owls in the middle of the night so I’m used to working in venues with low lighting and photography restrictions.

What I love about photography is the ability to capture emotions of the day using both classic editorial and photojournalistic styles. There is a delicate balance between capturing precise guided shots and capturing the natural movements of the day. Retelling stories through authentic photos is what makes it special.
Let’s chat and start our journey to capturing your significant moments.
